What is the legal structure of PASOSafe™?

PASOSafe™ is a campaign initiative registered by Safe America Movement, LLC (SAM4USA).  The 100% volunteer initiative offers a robust platform for The City of Paso Robles, businesses, residents and visitors to participate in a variety of safety and emergency response training, events, outreach and certification programs. 

What programs and events will PASOSafe™ be doing in the future?

As a community initiative, PASOSafe™ will evolve to reinforce the safety priorities of the City. A diverse local Advisory Council is being recruited to establish goals and create and launch outreach and certification programs consistent with the priorities of local law enforcement, emergency response and safety related agencies and service providers.

What safety programs does PASOSafe™ support for non-English speaking citizens?

PASOSafe™ and SafetyFest teams are working with groups to deliver all safety training, disaster preparedness and event programs in multiple languages. CERT and LISTOS emergency training programs are available in Spanish.

How can I launch a program like PASOSafe™ in another community?

Safe America Movement, LLC (SAM4USA) has the goal to reinforce 3,000 communities nationwide.  Each will have unique priorities, outreach standards and certification policies. 

What are the community safety goals behind PASOSafe?

SafetyFest is one of many programs the volunteer-based PASOSafe™ initiative will feature, to reinforce safety priorities of the community. As such, the initiative will evolve to address the unmet safety outreach needs throughout Paso Robles:      

  1. Increase awareness and participation of existing safety, emergency response and disaster preparedness resources throughout the entire community.
  2. Enhance coordination amongst public and private sectors.
  3. Increase the capacity of public safety and emergency response teams.
  4. Increase safety education, training, and volunteerism throughout the Hispanic community.
  5. Establish reliable ongoing evaluation metrics for community safety programs.  

What organizations are behind PASOSafe™?

PASOSafe™ is organized by Safe America Movement, LLC (SAM4USA) as a volunteer-based coalition that supports The City of Paso Robles, The North SLO County Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) and Paso Robles Downtown Main Street Association.  N. SLO County CERT is a program sponsored by the City of Paso Robles Fire and Emergency Services Department. All funds are managed and administered by the nonprofit County Sheriff's Advisory Foundation (SAF).  Through events and training and certification programs, numerous entities and volunteers are expected to participate.

How can visitors be PASOSafe™?

PASOSafe™ is developing a safety toolkit for visitors to enjoy a safe, welcoming environment in our friendly community. As a high priority for 2023, The Advisory Council will be working with City and Tourism groups to provide community safety resources as well as expectations of our guests.
